The Center for Outreach Services at the Ohio School for the Deaf provides support, assistance and resources to educators, interpreters, parents and school districts who work with learners who are deaf and hard-of-hearing in Ohio's public schools. There is no cost to educators for the services, which include professional development and technical assistance for early childhood and pre-K-12 educators; sign language resources; assistance for educational interpreters; quarterly newsletter for and about educational interpreting; and educational assessments for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
The center also has partnered with the State Library of Ohio to create a collection of books, videos and CD_ROMS related to deafness, deaf education and educational interpreting. The collection currently contains more than 670 titles. For more information about the center's services, visit its Web site at the link listed below.
