Schools Where Students with Disabilities Met or Exceeded the 75% Standard in 2004
Superintendent Susan Tave Zelman highlighted schools because they met or exceeded the 75 percent standard with their students with disabilities on the reading and/or mathematics sections of the Ohio Proficiency Test or the Ohio Graduation Test in 2003-2004 (based on a selection criteria).
Interviews were conducted with the principals, teachers, parents, and students - and in some cases, superintendents - at eighteen of the designated schools to identify the factors contributing to this success and to develop the following case studies.
